High Intensity Spanking

Does anyone remember me mentioning that dieting/lifestyle technique where you deprive yourself quite ruthlessly of calories for 2 days per week but eat normally 5 days per week? It's getting a lot of media coverage now, some with variations, some with special recipe suggestions, some looking for subscriptions to 'help you through it'. It doesn't take long for something to gain traction, if it's good, and it doesn't take long for the commercial outfits to try and make money out of it:)

For me it works, and the weight loss is almost a by-product because I took it up for other reasons which I posted about. Anyway the same BBC journalist, Michael Moseley, who researched the 'diet' has just produced another documentary which is related but slanted towards your fitness. In a nutshell it infers that you can forget all your jogging and gym memberships and all those hours of hard work every week and replace them with 3 minutes of high intensity exercise each week and, for most people, get the same benefit.

Unbelievable? I was sceptical at the start of his programme but he put himself up as guinea pig and tested the method over several weeks, under the auspice of university scientists and doctors, and it worked! He also went through the science behind it, which is still developing, with the guys who are right at the cutting edge.

My husband came into the lounge towards the end of the programme, quickly got the drift of it and said to me 'Wonder if it would work with high intensity spanking'.

"What do you mean, P?" I enquired, barely containing my excitement.

"Well, if a spanking intensity was ramped up several times

but the duration shortened, would it need to be done less frequently. Perhaps I'll email Michael Moseley and ask him."

I didn't answer him, just smiled. But inwardly I was panicking, I mean I don't mind the intensity getting ramped up but for goodness sake don't mess with the duration or frequency, not downwards at least:)

Busy day for me so wont be around much and out this evening for a special dinner.

Have a good week.

Win-Win Situation

I've been trying really hard with my weight, you remember I told you we were setting some targets, I know lots of people are doing the same thing in January and I hope it's all going well.

I've even picked up on exercising since last week, that's how seriously I'm taking it and Friday is my first weigh-in.

On the weekend I read in one of the magazines that exercising converts fat to muscle and muscle weighs heavier than fat. So, theoretically, I could be looking trimmer but still maintain the same weight. Or even be a tad heavier at the weigh-in, which means I might qualify for a spanking for not hitting my target but still in reality be improving my appearance.

Hmmm sounds to me like a possible win-win situation.

I haven't checked the scale yet but I might have a peek before Friday's weigh-in.

Wish me luck.

Bare bums in the saddle

A while back I posted about 'pert bums in the saddle' after a weekend away in which some horse riding girls had held us and other motorists up on the country lanes.

This weekend we were out walking in an area of woodland a few miles away from where we live, there were lots of cyclists about not just on the main pathways but on the narrow tracks through the trees too. I said to P it looked like fun we should get a couple of bikes, good exercise, he said I already get good exercise with my running which is true, I was thinking more of him actually but he didn't take me up on it.

Later when we got back I showed him this picture, his face lit up, perhaps there's hope yet.

The weekend overall was fine, last night we did as programmed, took P's mom out, I kept my end of the bargain, chatted away happily. I hope he keeps his later in the week.

Gluteus Maximus 2

After the delightful apres - run 'motivation' P gave me on Saturday I was thinking about his preposterous statement that toned glutes take spankings better.

Then I wondered if toned glutes attracted spankings, which could be a motivator or not. So I googled toned glutes, not because I really expected to get to the bottom (no pun intended) of these ridiculous thoughts just because I'd got glutes on my mind.

Needless to say it produced endless results but as I also had exercise on my mind I grabbed the following -

So this is how we all want to look, right? Well no matter how much exercise I do I'll never get a butt like this.

But did you know that underneath all that topshow we're pretty much like this. And to keep all that topshow looking good we have to keep the infrastructure in good nick, which means exercise!

The article I was reading went on to talk about glutes minimus and maximus, piriformis, quadriceps femosis .... dah dah dah...which nearly sent me to sleep. Then I found something that woke me up......

Ooh all that glistening sweat, rippling muscle pushing, shoving.....excuse me I feel faint
