Oh, and I have a spanking blog...

My friend nearly fell over when I said it....standing in the middle of Primark Chester... it just came out so naturally, I could hardly believe it myself. The first person in my circle of family and vanilla friends who I have ever told about my blog and my interest, including my commercial one, in TTWD. And it came out so easily. So I'm outed, ruined. LOL, not really, well unless she's changed a lot in the years that have passed without us meeting.

It was a funny weekend, I wasn't going to be in Chester at all until at the last minute P asked me why not go along with him, he had a meeting on Monday morning and he said why not travel up Sunday, do a bit of shopping, stay overnight, back next day, the meeting was more of a presentation really and he said I could attend as ultimately it affected me anyway and he likes my uncomplicated observations on speakers who I've never met before. So that was the deal.

All went well, a bit tight on time but I got some shopping from the Cheshire Oaks outlet as well and a few bits from the town and a partial walk around the walls before it got too dark to see. We stayed at the hotel on the racecourse which was convenient and easy parking, our room overlooked the racecourse too so no real road traffic noise. P spanked me before we went out to get a beer and some dinner, he said it was because I'd booked the Chester Grosvenor to eat (I was kidding) and there was no way he'd pay their prices and he'd make me phone and cancel after he'd spanked me, I don't know whether he knew I was teasing or not and I don't know whether he would have relented and gone there or not but it didn't get to the point of finding out because I admitted I'd been pulling his leg, I told him just as he'd got me across his lap, I was giggling and trying to look up at his face to see if he was angry or amused. Anyway he told me he was still going to spank me and took my knickers down to make a start. It was noisy and he stopped after just a few slaps, parked me on the bed and switched the tv on, then retrieved one of my travel canes from his overnighter, resumed his position and caned me until my backside was blazing and I was wriggling and bucking like a horny eel, if eels get horny that is. I certainly was because it wasn't brutal even though it stung like hell. When he let me up he was still sitting on the bed cane in hand, and I bent down and kissed his cheek and saucily asked if he was going to finish me off later...after we'd been to the Grosvenor:) Tongue in cheek.

So we didn't eat at the Grosvenor at all we ate at Chez Jules which is just a little bistro but cosy, and had a drink later and a chat with some of the guys at the hotel who were also attending the meeting next day. The meeting itself wasn't too boring and after it P said he wanted to pop into town before we headed home, he wanted some wines from Corks Out. I went with him and then walked him to Primark where I knew they had some cheap joke Christmas sweaters which light up with LEDs (I'm going to an ugly Christmas jumper party in December). Well it was in there that we met our old friends, they live a hundred and twenty miles from Chester and were as amazed to see us as we were them. Like us they'd driven up the previous day to shop at the designer outlet and stayed overnight in a guest house. I won't go through the boring catchup stuff and some of it is unpleasant anyway because of a serious illness although you wouldn't know it from talking. But what really got to me was how easily and naturally we reacquainted after so many years apart and how easily I divulged my little secret without giving it a second thought.

I suppose it's a mark of how close we were at one point and the trust is clearly still there. We're going to meet up again soon, I'm looking forward to it. She said I'll have to tell her all about the spanking world and she can tell her friends at the bank that she has an insider on that 'Fifty Shades' stuff, I told her she was welcome to but I guessed she was joking, then I said some of her clients and senior colleagues might find it interesting too, I'd heard banking types were partial to a bit of spanking, might even be able to sell me a few canes, I could pay a small commission. My turn to joke:)

Have a fun weekend,

Friends

I met with Jan, Rosie, Ami and our friend from across the pond, Minelle, in London last Thursday and what a time we had. The poor waitress kept coming over to see if we were ready to order lunch but because of all the talking, laughing and gift exchanging we kept having to say no, sorry not ready yet. She was lovely and patient with us.  The time just flew by and before we knew it, it was time to head home.

I was given lovely gifts (thank you) This is one of them.

Isn't it lovely. Minelle is one talented lady.

I think you can guess what I gave them.....

You guessed it -  a small OTK cane.

I hope they have fun having it used and find out that not all canes are evil:)

They are all terrific ladies. Smart, intelligent, caring, friendly, funny, really very very nice. Thank you ladies. I hope it won't be too long before we get together again.

Have a good week everyone.

Love,

Spanko Ladies

You may have read an earlier post about me going to meet a group of spanko ladies. Jan, Rossie, Ami, DF and Ella. We met in our capital city. It was a delight. They are a great bunch of women. Ella came from across the pond and it was her who organised this lunch. Thank you for that Ella. We're all thinking of you.

Ami took some great pictures which I enjoyed showing to P and would so love to share here in blogland but of course I won't. We talked and talked and all got on so well. I
felt like I'd know these ladies for ages. Time went far too quickly but before we left, when there weren't so many people around us we exchanged gifts, laughs and thanks followed.  I bet you can guess the gifts I received ......and as you can probably imagine many were related to our shared interest:)

Not one
(perfect size for your handbag:))
not two
not three
but four kitchen implements
One even had my name on it which was lovely and thoughtful.

I  mentioned that I was tempted to give each a gift of a cane and one of the girls told me that she had said to her husband if I gave her a cane she would refuse it. How ungrateful would that have been:)

We don't generally use kitchen implements for spanking in our house (except for the odd opportunistic swat) so I added them to the stone jar we keep on the kitchen counter with other regularly used kitchen implements. My husband, who does more than his share of the cooking and has an eagle eye, soon spotted the newcomers and has already tested a couple of them 'out of interest'. His favourite so far is the long lovely wicked wooden spoon which he tested on me in the kitchen and declared worthy of a place under the mattress after he heard the yelps it produced with hardly any effort. I never realised wooden spoons packed such a wallop, perhaps it's the extra long handle with the added leverage or maybe it's the type of wood or the sculpting of the bowl, I honestly can't say. But it's definitely severely ouchy! So you won't mind if I take back my 'thank you', Ami:)

Jay Peaches gave us a copy of her book.

If you haven't read any of Jaye's books I suggest you remedy that straight away as she is a very good writer.

It was a lovely day and look forward to meeting up again.

Have a fun weekend.

Friends and Holidays

I had the most amazing day yesterday meeting up with Jan, Ami, Ella, DelFonte and Rosie. Shame it wasn't a longer meet as time just flew by. They're all terrific ladies. Smart, intelligent, caring, funny, really very very nice and just so lovely.

Thank you ladies for such a wonderful and special day and for the gifts.

So today - depending on what time you're reading this post....

I could be up in the air on a Ryanair flight

maybe having a little outdoor fun

or cooling down with a dip in the pool

See you when I get back.

Have you ever met a Spanko off line?

I have..now.

Last Monday I met a spanko face to face. First time for me. She is a reader and comments around blogland and is considering starting her own blog. I hope she does because it will be enjoyed.

We've been emailing for a while and as she was going to be in my neck of the woods suggested we meet for dinner and, for the first time ever, I agreed.

We decided to eat at Jamie Olivers Italian in Birmingham city.

It was packed and I mean packed, we hadn't booked so had to wait just over 1/2 hour for a table but with a couple of large glasses of red we were happy to stand and chat and boy did we chat, we didn't stop. You would think meeting a fellow spanko, you would just be talking about spanking and the ones we get from our hubbies but no not at all, we talked about jobs, children, family (don't get me wrong, spanking was in there too, it just didn't dominate). Everything. We exchanged gifts. She bought me a wonderful basket of delicious home cakes and some cheese.

We were like a couple of schoolgirls, laughing and giggling especially when we saw wooden boards around the restaurant.

And thinking of their uses.

I could see a few faces turn in our direction.

She's lovely, open and friendly, a working mom with a family who are clearly her pride and joy.

She shared some secrets about her husband, a very busy man and I had to laugh when, not long into starters, she received an urgent text message - "Bet that's from hubby, checking up on you" - and it was indeed but not checking on her, he was looking after the kids and they were out of cling film and he didn't know where it was kept, (he needed it for his packed lunch) then can you believe it 15 minute later another txt to say he couldn't find the kids swimming things. How normal and how nice and, hey all you men out there, can't you do anything without us:)

I know you have to be careful meeting people you've only known online, but after a while maybe you build up confidence and take the plunge. In this case I'm glad I did and I know we'll meet again.

Thank you for a wonderful and fun evening Sarah.

A couple of days after our meeting she sent me this lovely email I'd like to share with you.....

Letter to a well spanked, well loved, friend :

Dear Ronnie,

What do you think the bystanders made of us ? Meeting, hugging, chatting, laughing, reflecting, listening----arm in arm walking and sharing gifts and fine wine and food ? All with our delicious mutual 'secret'----we are happily married, middle aged women who are spanked by our husbands ?

Who knows ?

Who CARES ?

We're content, loved and cared for...and whilst TTWD is not 'perfect ' it's as near as perfect can ever be in the world we live.

And, dear Ronnie, I'd like to thank you for these things :

1. For my gifts --- so carefully chosen both for me and for Peter (he LOVES the heart shaped wooden spoon)...um, I'll maybe grow to love it Thinking smile emoticon

2. For making the effort to meet in person after you have shared candidly on your blog....there was every opportunity for you to dip out...

3. For making me roar with laughter (so wise of you to move to that private table....and I was pleasantly surprised how easily our conversation developed about....well...EVERYTHING )

4. For reminding me how fortunate I am to have this lifestyle and people to share it with....and with you....face to face.....a HUGE added bonus...

5. For reminding me about protecting myself emotionally and practically....and for not judging me to be lame for not having my own blog (yet !)

6. For expressing your delight at my home made summer picnic for you and P to enjoy ---- in lieu of your summer holiday. Did you enjoy the panetone summer fruits pudding? Were the date and walnut scones light enough? was the Belgian chocolate crunch slice chocolatey enough ? And MOST IMPORTANTLY did you plan your summer spanking on the strength of it ? !

7. For listening to me wax lyrical about my family....yep, I'm smitten...let's leave it at that, shall we ? !

8. For sparing me an evening with works colleagues who enjoy nights away from home in a wholly different way to me. I mean, meeting a spanko or dining with a bunch of lawyers....it really was a no-brainer !

9. For sharing worries about responsibilities you have for your own family members. And believe me as I work largely with mad, bad and ill adults and children I forever see the darkest shades of human nature. Your sense of commitment is refreshingly unique.

10. For reassuring me that we will meet again and hopefully embrace a meeting with American bloggers in August 2013.

11. For making me realise just how much my life has moved on since I typed 'spanking ' into goggle 3 years ago Winking smile emoticon.

The rest, as they say, is history...

And for all readers, believe me when I say that Ronnie is the real Mc Coy....funny and warm and caring and REAL. She says it like it is and lives it like she wants to.
And she knows that she is as lucky as me.

4 February 2013 ---Jamie Oliver's Restaurant in Birmingham, UK --- we were THERE. Wish you had been able to join us too.

Much love,

Sarah,LD, UK xxx

Have a good week.

Three Lovely Blog Awards

I'm tickled pink to have been honoured with "Three Lovely Blog Awards" from our friends -
Slightly Naughty Princess, Reneerose and Spanky. Thank you so much. It was a surprise
but a lovely one when there are so many more deserving blogs out there.

There are rules to the award.

Share 7 new things about yourself.
Link back to the person/s who gave you the award.
Pass on the award to 15 blogs you like to read.

I'm not sure if I have 7 things to share about myself that you don't already know but here goes and for a little fun as I'm not one for rules I've listed 8. One of them is untrue - can you guess which one?

1) One of my favourite leather implement is the tawse. Gives quite a bite. Hurts but good hurt, hurt that I can more and more of if you know what I mean. I'm loving it. I think I could actually reach sub space with it.

2) I was a member of a well know highly respected UK Athletics club who have produced a couple of world class athletes. I was considered very good but sadly didn't have it in me to go the whole way.

3) I hate flying so much I take a sedative before takeoff.

4) I have a bruised bottom but not from spanking. I fell over. I also have a few other bruises, hurt my ankle and I'm stiff.

5) I was a prefect as school and had to discipline unruly girls.

6) I love stripey tops and have over 20

7) I have gained 2lb over my target and may need P's expert assistance.

8) My favourite perfume is Channel No5. I have been wearing it for over 25 years since P bought my first bottle.

Did you guess?

Rule one done, rule two done, rule three - now that's a problem. As said I'm not one for too many rules so I'm not going to pass the award on because there are more than 15 blogs out there who all deserve to be read and I can't just choose 15, now can I?

Please pick one from my blog list and go say hello.

Thanks to everyone who commented yesterday. No3 was untrue. I absoloutely love flying.

Spanking Spoons

We went out with friends on Saturday to a firework display and then onto a pub restaurant they like eating at, we hadn't been before and it was OK, well the atmosphere was better than the food actually, it was clearly too busy and the kitchen wasn't coping well, I think we might try it ourselves on a week night some time when it's less stressed.

Anyway the funny thing was the wooden spoons (these aren't the ones in the pub but they're almost identical) stacked behind the ordering section of the bar. After ordering, we were given a receipt and a spoon to take to our table, it was explained that the spoon should be stood upright in the holder on the table and was to let the waiting staff identify us.

Before we knew that, while we were standing in the queue at the bar.

I whispered to P that they must have a lot of mistakes and perhaps the spoons are for disciplining the staff.

The numbers could be the quantity of swats to be delivered, I ventured. "Can you see one for me?" I asked my husband.

He patted my bottom and said "No, they don't go to triple digits."

Jamie Oliver's

Now this has nothing to do with spanking (though you never know I might see the chef spank his commis:)

A few of us girls are visiting Jamie Oliver's Birmingham restaurant this evening, a bit of shopping first. Of course.

Picture from MarQe's Study

A friend hits 50 on Saturday but she going away for the weekend with hubby so a few of us are taking her into Birmingham later this afternoon, the shops open late and we'll finish up at Jamie's Italian, which I've been waiting to try and P's been promising to take me to but it looks like girl power is getting me there first.

Looking forward to it haven't had a girls' day/night out for a while.

I'll let you know if the food's good..or bad.

Do people beats carpets anymore?

So much for my no spanking weekend, it didn't go the way I predicted at all. Instead I got spanked at our friend's house on Sunday morning and again at home on Monday evening; one was just fun but the other was not and you know, and I'm sure I've said this before, its the not-for-fun ones that sends tingles down my spine just thinking about them.

Did I tell you my friend collects plates? I thought so, and that we would be going to a car boot sale on Sunday morning, which we did and even the men came along which surprised me as I thought they were going to make some excuse and head for the local pub which, on second thoughts, wouldn't be open yet. Anyway the field in which the sale was held was quite muddy as they had heavy showers on Saturday. Friend and hubby had sensible footwear on, P had trainers which he didn't care about but I had soft summer shoes so was hopping awkwardly between patches of dry ground to avoid the mud, luckily my friend saw my dilemma and asked if I wanted to go back and get a pair of wellington boots, she said there were some in the garage which would fit me and it was only 5 mins drive.

So P drove me back tut tutting at the fuss I was making, I soon found a pair of green wellies which I assumed were Denise's, they fitted fine and I was ready to head back to the mud when I looked up and saw P holding a carpet beater.

He'd taken it off the wall, he told me, as he took my forearm and led me over to a chest freezer in the corner. He asked me if I'd ever been spanked with a carpet beater, stupid question as he's the only person who's ever spanked me but I didn't say that, in fact I didn't say anything until I was bent over the chest freezer and the first blow landed on my trouser clad backside, whereupon I said 'Ouch' and then 'Shit' when I realised how much it stung. (This image came to mind, sorry not sure why I got it from.)

He only gave me few swats and then put it back on the wall hooks and told me he'd have to get one, laughing, perhaps we'd find one back at the car boot. We didn't find one but it made me wonder why our friends kept one in the garage, I mean do people actually beat carpets anymore?

So that was my fun spanking and I'll tell you why I got the not fun one on Friday. Oh yes and I'll tell you about the spanking itself.
