Festive meme

Hermione, remember this one.?

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Wrapping paper.

Sometimes gift bags.

2. Real tree or artificial?
Artificial now. Personally I prefer real Christmas trees.

3. When do you put up the tree?
It used to be middle of December, but since we have had granddaughter (and now grandson) it goes up around 10th-11th December.  This year granddaughter will be helping decorate it.

4. When do you take your tree down?
New Year's day.

5. Do you like eggnog?
Yuck, Does anyone.

6. Favourite gift received as a child?
Nurse's outfit.

7. Hardest person to buy for?
My dearest.  Haven't a clue what to buy at the moment.

8. Easiest person to buy for?
Grandson. He's only 8 months:)

9. Do you have a nativity scene?
Not anymore.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?
Always snail mail. I need to get mine sent off in the next couple of days as we have a number of postal strikes leading up to Christmas.

Here's one I found in a card shop (some might remember it) Makes me smile.

11. Worst Christmas gift ever received.
From Ex SIL. Gave me used toiletries:( I never said anything.

12. Favourite Christmas movie?
Love Actually, Watch it every Christmas.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
Christmas Eve (has been known:))  Not usually before 1st December.

Yes. Last year it was a Christmas jumper which was far too big and some artificial flowers. (Not a fan of artificial flowers).

Christmas pudding. I used to buy one, but since I got a easy recipe from a lovely friend and ex blogger, I make them.

I like white, P prefers coloured. Last year we had white so I think it will be coloured this year.

No favourite.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
I'd prefer home every time and happy that this year we will be.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
I had to stop, think and say them out loud before I could answer. I missed one out. My favourite is...

20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
I change every time. This year I'm going to let granddaughter chose which goes on the top.

24. What do you want for Christmas this year?
A bottle of my favourite perfume as I'm down to my last couple of drops.

I bet you thought I'd say

a red bottom:) 'm sure I'll get one sometime over Christmas.

25. Who is most likely to respond to this?
P on both accounts:)

You take the tree down on New Year's Day, really! I think that just shows a lack of commitment to partying on New Year's Eve, if you are in a fit enough state, to do that then :)

I remember this meme Ronnie, love your answers.

When we were young mum and dad wouldn't allow the tree to go up until Christmas eve, though that changed over the years. Love Actually is a favourite here too :)

Pref - LoL. I can't remember the last time I was worse for wear on New Year's day. Thanks.

Sophie - That picture always makes me smile. Thanks.

Roz - Thanks. Same when I was small, we actually went out on Christmas Eve to buy our real tree and then decorate it.
