The big day is nearly here. Wont be such a big day for a lot of people.
I have a couple of presents for friends to drop off. I'll stand and wish them a Merry Christmas in their front gardens.
If you are lucky enough to be with family enjoy, but please take a moment to think of those who will be spending this Christmas alone and the families who have lost loved ones to this horrible disease.
Thank you to all who stopped by this year, I really appreciate it, and hope you will visit again.
Look after each other and please stay safe.

This Christmas will be very different for many and I feel for those affected by the virus and those who have lost loved ones.
Despite the different Christmas this year I hope you, P and family have a wonderful day. Merry Christmas.
Hugs

We;ve all had to make alternative plans. Some will be eating tog on zoom, i'm having a small gathering at the sister's, and we will have no church together, or the usual Christmas eve party either.
All our meetups have been reduced to 1 or 2 people at a time, for a quick near-our-homes lunch or dinner. Bright side - more meaningful conversations instead of everyone just flitting about from group to group trying to say hi and catch up with as many people as possible on the ONE night.
Here's hoping that all those who have lost loved ones will find peace as the days pass, and those who have been sick and recovered from it will be able to move forward and put it behind them too.
Despite how hard we're trying to keep the Christmas spirit - this Christmas feels dark and heavy. So many sick ... so many have lost family and friends... I almost feel guilty at how lucky we have been through this...
Wishing you and P a good holiday and hopefully a much better New Year.
A sad time of year because of covid. Everyone, please stay safe!
Hugs,
Hermione
Take the opportunity to call or write someone you have drifted away from. Bring them a smile.
The same to you Ronnie. We will be alone but I'm so grateful that my daughter,son-in-law grandkids and brother all had Covid and came through relatively unscathed. Thank the Lord and my heart goes out to those who haven't been so lucky.
Sad that we will not be with family, but thankful that they are all healthy and safe. Thus, it will be a fine Christmas. Thankful also for zoom or Google Meet, or whatever electronic method you use to connect with family.

Merry Christmas Ronnie. Thank you for your blog. I hope you get a nice good girl spanking for Christmas!
But it will be one for the memory books! And a great reason to have an even bigger blow out then usual next year!
Myself and another 8 million adult British citizens will be spending Christmas alone this year, from what I heard on BBC radio 4 today. Stranded overseas or in the wrong area from the rest of the family or friends. It's not ideal but with modern technology at least you can get in touch with people on the day. When I first moved abroad, in the 90's, all you had was the telephone at over 2 pounds a minute. So at least that is better now. It's only one year, we just have to make the best of things as they are. I hope that you and P have the Merriest Christmas that you possibly can.

Right now my 99 year old mother is in the hospital and we don't know how long she'll live. Her body is wearing out. Charlie
