We watched the fireworks in Australia - they were in 2010 13 hours before us.

Daisychain said...: I couldn't join in the new year celebrations...I found it hard enough staying sane and "happy" through Christmas...As for Auld Lang Syne, I can't sing that till Davey and I are together, its just too gut wrenching.

LOL, yes I know. I laughted when I saw the girl picture on your page.
I saw some of the Australian fireworks, they went of around 10.00 am UK time, very impressive I thought. I know a lot of countries have fireworks New Years Eve does Canada? We never seem to hear much about the country.

Daisy - I'll look forward to hearing you both sing it :)

Hermione said...: It's pretty cold here for outdoor fireworks. Possibly they do it in Ottawa on Parliament Hill. We only see American celebrations on TV, so I don't know.

Did you know that fireworks for home use are only sold for limited periods of time here? Victoria Day and Canada Day are two of those times. Otherwise they're illegal.

Hermione - Never thought about it being too cold for fireworks there. No I didn't know that, we can get fireworks all the year around but mostly people only let them off for Bonfire night and New Years Eve now.
