I'll be in charge of leather

Looks increasingly likely we're going to start a second business, been chewing it over since before Christmas and I've mentioned it a few times. We've finally got what we think is a balanced range from various countries, hopefully attractive to retail buyers. No doubt we'll learn after we've bought loads of stock that we should have done it differently but we have to start somewhere, so orders will be going in soon and we should be running in about 3 months, it'll take that long because of stock availability, shipping, customs and just getting the online store organised, its all quite a lot of extra work but I've really enjoyed the research as the products are fashion, women's wear and there's lots of leather which I love. I asked P if we could add a 'specialist leather' section, he knew what I meant but just smiled.

Its not exactly out with the old in with the new. The old will run concurrently but P will stay with that and I'll do more of the new, in charge in fact, ooh responsibility. I'm not sad, I'll still see old clients and definitely stay in touch with our overseas partners who have become friends, but there are fresh challenges ahead.

Anyway we have to go to Finland soon, I think it will probably  be the last trip I make officially for our current business, we have some graduates from a catering college to interview and a presentation to make, not too taxing, we'll be there three days, I love Helsinki, P always says the beer's too expensive. I'm hoping the new venture will offer a few travel opportunities, about 40% of our stuff so far will come from the EU and the rest from China, Puerto Rico and Bangladesh so travel opportunities. Well you have to check the goods!

Talking of travel, I was emailed a couple of days ago by a Singaporean Travel Co, asking me if I'd be prepared to take advertising from them on my blog, now someone there may be reading this and I'm very happy if they are, but I had to reply no. Because I'm not a travel blog even though I ramble on sometimes, maybe I should become travel blogger with a penchant for spanking instead of a spanking blogger with penchant for travel. Or maybe I'll just stay as I am.

Well I for one sweety happen to love you just the way you are :)

I wish you both all the luck in the world for this new venture. I do think in an ever shifting economic climate that some diversity is a good thing.

Once again I have to rethink my non-spanking mode of late! After a second glance at the pic (and a third and a fourth), I'm feeling that urge again!

Sounds like great things are happening for you and P and that is wonderful! Leather sends such mixed feelings in me... I love the feel of it in spanking toys and shoes and belts. But I love cows too much too not loathe some of its uses, and for me, clothes usually have fit in that category. But that's just me and I certainly don't want to rain on your parade in the slightest.

I'm so jealous of you getting to visit Finland (and all the other places, too). It's cold there, even now, right?

Hugs and love to you and P!
Tiggs (NOT my real name, P!)

Ronnie - I was all set to leave a comment on this post, then my machine froze up completely. All I could think of was that I couldn't possibly get anyone to fix it with the naughty picture on this post in such a prominent position.

All is well now, but I forget what I was going to say! Probably good luck!

Hugs,
Hermione

M:e - thank you for your good wishes and so happy you loved the picture.

Tiggs - I thought you might like the picture :)
I understand your feeling regarding leather and animals, I love them as well. We have to cater for everybody. I am sourcing non leather items, PU, PVC, fair trade the lot.

Finland is lovely, people are so friendly, weather around 9 degree at the moment but clear blue skies but that can change. Looking forward to it.
I just told P, Tiggs isn't your real name he said pity, he likes that name.

Hermione - LOL, that happened to me last week, if P's not in I normally ask the lad in the next office but I couldn't let him see what I was reading so I had to wait until P came back
Thanks.

PK - hello, thanks. I will certainly like the travelling, one of our partners said he is sending me some leather belts to look at mmmm, can't wait.

Thanks all. Have a lovely weekend.

Well, whichever you'd like to consider yourself, I certainly wish you the best of luck in your new endeavor!

Have you tried Stockroom.com? They're one of the big supplies on our side of the pond.

It sounds like you certainly have your hands full, but I know you're up to the challenge.

You're creating lots of luck for yourself, so I'll just send my best thoughts and positive energy for success.
