You remember the post I made referring to, ahem, crops, saddles, stables and the like.
Well Michael kindly left a link to a Cotswold stables/guest
house which looks lovely and just the sort of place I love especially out of
summer when there's a roaring log fire in the hearth. I sent the link to my
husband, well you never know, his reply was:-
Saw the subject and wondered what you'd found but they're not offering any kinky pursuits on their website, not that I could see.
Maybe I should email the owner and ask her if she could accommodate a trainee for a few days, no experience but wiling to work free in a stables environment, mucking out, cleaning tack, polishing boots for the riders, rubbing the horses down after rides, that sort of thing.
And of course........find her a pair of old tight fitting jodhpurs to wear, must look the part.......and feel free to whip her if she doesn't shape up.......let the gentlemen whip her too if she doesn't shine their boots well enough or toady up enough.
Might get accommodation thrown in free maybe even breakfast included, what do you think?
Very funny, P, I replied, I'd just thought to put
the idea in case you might fancy a night or two away come Autumn, it
does look quite charming.
Oh is that all. Boring, said my husband.
Ah well, perhaps I'll remind him when the weather
gets cooler. And I'll pop some jodhpurs on for good measure.
