Ronnie's Canes

I don't know where this week has gone but then I have been quite busy catching up on a backlog of orders and queries from last week when I was on holiday and then setting two days aside for our lovely granddaughter which is the greatest pleasure I can have (yes including that) but it doesn't get any work done.

I had a frantic rush before going away to get last minute orders dispatched and I always worry in case I've missed something or got something wrong and then can't do anything about it for a week or more but feedback from happy customers tells me all is well.  When I started my little cane business some time ago and read feedback I was quite surprised how open some people were, telling me about how happy they were with their purchases and how they've been used to discipline their wives or in some cases husbands and do love the feedback from dom/mes because they're always to the point and often constructive to a point that I make changes based on them. 

I am still waiting for a customer to ask if I'm into spanking myself but I suppose they assume I am, they don't know which side though:)

Services to the Dominatrix World

I was in Spain most of last week as many of you know and it was lovely to catch up with an old friend and enjoy proper Summer weather, not like the UK which as usual paid its price for the mini heatwave of the previous week.

While I was away my little online business ticked over as usual I'm pleased to say but, unusually, my husband took an interest in it. We'd had a few words before I made my trip, about him doing me a favour and mailing some stuff for me while I was away; he hadn't been prepared to do it and I made alternative arrangements which wasn't a problem even though I thought he was a bit mean but I got my backside tanned for arguing about it so I didn't push. Anyway, P took an interest, not by actually doing anything but by checking my orders.

But here's the funny bit and it piqued his interest, not to do with my leather goods which I've been selling for years, but my more recent activity of selling canes which have only been going since the Spring. And the thing that got his attention was a sale on Thursday for 11 school canes. He actually whatsapped me while I was in Spain to say he thought someone must have had a sticky finger and pushed two ones by mistake, he was joking and that can't actually happen, shows how much he knows about my systems, but I had already seen the order anyway and was way ahead of him. I messaged back, 'go back to Monday and look at my sales and the names.' He came back an hour later and said the same person, it was a lady, had ordered one on Monday. 'She must have liked it' he said with a smiley, 'but eleven! She must be in the dominatrix business or maybe she was re-selling them' with a double smiley.

He brought it up again on the weekend, jokey at first saying he thought there must be a few extra sore bottoms about if Royal Mail had done their job on time, then he asked me if I'd thought of offering them to professionals, become a nominated supplier to dominatrix circles, s/m practitioners etc. He was joking again but also serious. I hadn't. I told him I wouldn't know where to find them, he said I should find out, it's business, simple. My husband has his uses, I suppose I could say he did help me out after all.

I've got a new friend

And he makes canes. Sigh.

I know a lot of you guys have chatted with me and guessed I was going to get involved with canes (not just the receiving end), after that dinner engagement I had a few weeks back. Well you were right and I am now Alec's (his name isn't Alec but it suits him) right-hand man woman, advising him on how he could improve his little business. I don't think he needs my advice really and his business is going ok so he isn't chasing money, he must like me:)

Anyway I persuaded him to add an item to his range, it's a 'loopy', which he'd never even heard of before but I most certainly had and, when it was first introduced to my backside in Spain a few years go I had one of those 'never again' moments, it was evil. But P didn't throw it away and after some gentler persuasion over time I've accepted its use. Occasionally!

So Alec is allowing me the same prices he charges his commercial customer so I can keep it sensible. I have a few samples he gave me, he said he'd love some feedback, you know, if I knew anyone who might be prepared to. What? Moi? He was actually a bit embarrassed asking, he doesn't partake himself you see and he gets a bit flustered talking about what his 'toys' are used for. It's a bit like having a non-smoker making cigarettes or a butcher who doesn't eat meat. Anyway he's sweet and I think we are already friends.

He has a daughter, I mentioned her, she's nice too and a bit more worldly that her dad, we might share some other business. Need to keep an eye on her though because P says she's a looker.

Anyway don't worry I'm not about to fill my blog with commercial claptrap.
