70 Years of Service

UK has a four day weekend to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. Lots of events taking place around the country and street parties on Sunday, so I hope our weather behaves.

This picture of the late Duke of Edinburgh and the Queen always makes me smile.

I bet he's made her laugh by saying move along Cabbage which apparent was a nickname he gave the Queen.

Stay safe.

I just love the photo Ronnie and just adore the Queen. 70 years is a big deal. I so hope the weather behaves. Enjoy the celebrations:)

We had a gun salute to Her Majesty today and will be lighting the jubilee beacon (which I didn't know existed), which apparently all commonwealth countries will be doing. Monday is also Queens Birthday so a long weekend here also.

Hugs
Roz

It must be nice to have someone the people love and honor. She has done a superb job in my book. It would be helpful to the whole world if she would toss Megan into the Tower.

God save the Queen!

I remember being in Brownies, when we had to learn to sing two verses of the Royal anthem.

May she live to see the next Jubilee.

Hugs,
Hermione

I've been watching this morning - it's amazing! I believe your queen is one of the most admired people on the planet. Because of that I love the picture you posted too. An amazing woman and yet fully human and fun loving.

God save the Queen! Even if in her family some good spankings are necessary…

Roz - It was so lovely to see her with family on the balcony. I saw some of the beacons being lit. I hoe you enjoy the long weekend. Thanks.

Fondles - Thanks. We wont see anything like this again,

Bogey - Thanks. I lot don't like our Royals but they do have enormous respect for our Queen. I haven't seen any coverage o Harry and Meghan yet.

Hermione - Thanks. That would be something it she was. I bet a lot of our children don't know our anthem. Things are changing here, she is slowly stepping back and Charles taking up the reigh.

PK - Thanks. Yes she has a lot of respect. Wont be the same with Charles as King.

Laxmi - I think we know who you mean:) Thanks.

Love,
Ronnie
