Question for those who have blogs (and who used to have blogs and still read here)..... what made you start blogging?
For me, it happened by accident. I started experimenting with my site
(so clearly was toying with the idea) but I thought it was private and
could not be seen but obviously that wasn't the case as Bonnie found me
and the rest is history. After a brief conflab with P, which was no
trouble he was very supportive about it, I went ahead and tentatively
started making contact. It will be 13 years this December and I still
enjoy it.
I'd be interested to hear why you started if you care to share.
Stay safe.
Have a fun weekend.

I wanted to share that F/M spanking can be loving, fun, sensuous, and sexual. It does not have to be about humiliation, discipline, or punishment.
I had such a specific goal. I just wanted a place where kinky people could talk at length about anything from kink to whatever and not feel hemmed in by any sort of constraints they might feel in a vanilla environment. As such I post not just personal anecdotes, or posts about the different kinks out there, but politics, current events, society in general, or whatever enters my warped little mind. The result: absolute, total, miserable failure!
I occasionally get a brief exchange going, but rarely any actual in-depth back and forth discussion between multiple guests. It's usually just one-shot supportive comments, or none at all. As a result I was faced with the question of whether to close up shop or amend my goal. Since I still like to write and enjoy putting things out there for the very few people who come by, I decided to give up on ever achieving the level of discussion I would want, and just take it for whatever comes. And what I get isn't bad. I have some very nice and intelligent visitors who leave some pretty good comments. It's just that once posted, that's pretty much it. No one else chimes in or asks a question.
I will say that while my goal was never quite achieved, I can't say that I've seen any other blog achieve what I was looking for either. Dan's blog comes very close, but still not exactly what I am after. I think in this day and age, such discussion as what I'm seeking is as extinct as the dodo. We live in the age of "likes".
You may known my reasons - I too found Bonnie, then Eve, Grace and Ceeci - I love that normal, intelligent women were writing about their love for spanking. I'd felt pretty alone before that. Once I began reading I was dying to get to know these women better - and all the other wonderful people I've met since then. I blogged to talk with these friends, and to better understand what I wanted and needed. My blog helped me sort out many things over the years.
Bonnie was the reason I started my blog. Her blog was so interesting and liberating, I wanted to feel that freedom too.
Hugs,
Hermione
I had lived most of my spanking life in the shadows and, although not wanting to shout it from the rooftops, I wanted to have a bit of a say in the wider world. So first I started to comment on blogs and then took the plunge and started my own
Prefectdt
I Started my blog back when Bonnie started her blog, and we chatted at times. That blog was Spankedhubby.blogspot.com, but I have now lost access to it, and in addition, I hid most of it due to being threatened with being publicly outed if i did not remove certain posts. I removed almost all of the blog instead.
I started because the Internet was young, and there were no voices about Consensual F/M spanking, outside of the DisciplinaryWinvesclub. I chatted with Aunt Kay at times, and professed to the blog world the joys and benefits of the man being spanked by his partner. It gave me a sense that I was not alone, as more and more readers commented about their lifestyle, similar to mine.
Having closed the blog, but six months later feeling it's loss, I started consensualspanking.blogspot.com, and over the years had more than 20 million page loads, until it was closed by blogger due to a virus.
Thus, after about 18 years of blogging, I am only occasionally blogging on my new site at consensualspanking,wordpress.com The postings are erratic, because their are so many other sources of F/M, both free and pay, that the need to explain has long since vanished. Plus, I am 18 years older.
It has been fun, and I enjoy visiting other peoples blogs now, as a recreation, instead of posting.

I discovered reading blogs and saw the comments and conversations and realised people made real connections and shared ideas abd supported each other. I decided I wanted to be part of that and started blogging and commenting.
I have made such wonderful connections and friendships here and the blog proved to be a great place to work through thought and feelings etc and has been a great tool in our relationship.
Hugs
Roz
OBB - And you have all along. Thanks.
Kdpierre - Thanks. I do now what you are saying. I think there used to be some discussions on certain blogs when I first started, but no anymore. People don't seem to have the time.
PK - Yes I remember. It's a shame those ladies are no longer blogging. Thanks.
Hermione - And you did it. Thanks.
Prefectdt - And the rest is history. I love that you did take the plunge. Thanks.
Red - Thanks. Yes I remember you saying why you started. I do hope you will still post every now and again as you would be missed if you stopped altogether. Thanks.
Roz - I think blogging has benefited us all in some ways. I love that you have made some friendships as have I and so lucky to have met some face to face.
Love,
Ronnie

I started long ago, not at the same blog I have now. But my Sir at the time - First Sir - would ask me to email him about my experiences with him. He liked my writing and suggested I might start a blog. I had no idea that kink blogs even existed, but I love to write and I’ll over reading other people’s blogs. Once I started, I wouldn’t have stopped for anything. Being able to process what I was feeling, in writing, and to make friends with other people in the blogging community, has been such a gift, and such a joy for me. Thank you for being here!!
