I don't recall being spanked in any strange positions... if there was, it's likely it was a one-off because of space constraints etc. And that definitely doesn't look like a comfortable position in any case.
That looks so uncomfortable! I'll take a traditional position any day. Never tried anything unusual.

I don't get this photo, unless it is a lame attempt to try "something, anything" different.
First, she looks like a beautiful woman with a cute spankable bottom. Why not just an otk spanking?
Second (but actually my first thought), was that it was dangerous for her to be in position like that. One out-of-nowhere crack with that cane, she flinches/jumps and - SHE FREE-FALLS RIGHT TO THE FLOOR. She could easily be hurt.
And last, she is bent so far forward her tush is really sticking out such that an errant swing of that cane could do physical damage. That cane would hit far too close to bone.
I'd rather just see her simply spanked. (And get rid of those stupid academic robes.)

I wouldn't know how to begin caning someone in such a precarious position. @AJ, for me the academic robes are realistic given the school I attended and had to bend for the cane with a school master wearing them.
The shoes ruin the picture for me - or perhaps that is why she is being caned?
