Just Wondering

Have any of you taken up a hobby/project since you've been in lockdown.  Something that you've always wanted to do but never had the time?  Me, I did start to learn the guitar (with not much success) before we went into lockdown and thought ideal time to try again but haven't picked it up once.

I have started a 1500 jigsaw (always loved jigsaws but hadn't done one for yonks) so I thought why not and I'm really enjoying it. Apparently Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Ronnie Wood are all fans of jigsaw puzzles.

Here's the one I'm doing.

I  wonder if there's a spanking jigsaw.

UK is in its eleventh (I think but to be honest I've lost track) week of lockdown (well partial lockdown now) We can go out as much as we want, and as far, no staying overnight anywhere. Can meet up with 6 people from other households but with social distancing maintained, currently at 2 metres. Dentists (some) opened yesterday and from next week non-essential shops can open. Our Government is talking about opening pubs/restaurants from 22nd June, to outside customers only.  Not sure how that will work. We'll see.

Stay safe.

Hi Ronnie,

The jigsaw looks great. No, I haven't picked up any hobbies since lockdown.

Everything is now fully open and able to resume now. No distancing or restrictions on numbers with zero active cases. The only restrictions now are in relation to our borders.

Hugs
Roz

Does home schooling count as a hobby?
We're in our 4th month of it and I am running out of steam....it didn't give me much time for anything else.

Glad to hear things are easing for you though I find the easing of restrictions a little stress inducing

I love jigsaws! Haven't done a real one in ages - no room to spread out - but I have a Jigsaw game on iPad.

I had a foot appointment this week, and eye appointments scheduled for next week. Things are opening up here too.

Hugs,
Hermione

Plenty of new projects, but no new hobbies. I have too many already. The quarantine has not changed much for me. I have been as busy as I usually keep myself, making it hard for me to understand people who claim to be bored. Bored? When there's SO much to do?

Crossword puzzles yes, jigsaw puzzles no. The one you're doing looks challenging. If there are any spanko puzzles I'm sure one of your readers will be let you know.

I've had more time for baking. But that's not exactly anything new. I've just been doing so more frequently.

Good to hear things are opening up. We're still pretty much shut in. Some business have been given the green light for employees to work from the office now. And public transport is back to running at full speed.

Most of the non essential shops are still closed. It's been near impossible for me to find running shoes. And I've had to resort to online shopping for everything from said shoes to printer ink. It's rather annoying at this point as some of the rules they've put in place seem to be ridiculous when one considers they're allowing jam-packed trains and buses anyway!

Ah well.

Despite restrictions I have been in full time work, except for the first week. Queueing for shops has reduced a lot of my free time so I have not had much chance to try anything new. Days out have been replaced by long bike rides though. So much that I now need a new rear tyre for the bike. Days out have been allowed since Monday of this week, so I think that I might go somewhere this weekend.

Morningstar - I've enjoyed reading about your home schooling. I think you and the lil one are doing great. Thanks.

Hermione - Jigsaw puzzle on the iPad sounds interesting. Will have to take a look.Thanks.

kdpierre - I know what you mean. I've been quite busy. Some of my ladies friends are telling me they've had enough of cleaning and are now bored.

SG - I used to do crosswords but haven't for a while. Thanks.

Fondles - I know you like to bake. I've enjoyed some of your recipes. Some of our Government's rules are so silly. Thanks.

Ha! Funny you should ask. I've been blogging. Imagine that.

As for the spanko jigsaw puzzle, I once did a post on that very subject, but the link is no longer good.

Be well and stay safe.

Hugs,
Bonnie
