Licensed to Spank

No, I'm not saying he is but in my mind he would be. If he were so inclined that is, at least he would have my licence to:)

He's had a lot of coverage lately since the announcement of the delaying of the new Bond movie for understandable reasons. I'm posting the most used image of him because he's a hunk and he looks good although journalist Camilla Long made an issue of the fact that, had a Bond girl been shown displaying herself in a similar way, to be ogled, it would have been labelled sexist and caused an uproar. But when a man does it (especially Mr Bond himself) it's ok. Hmm, true?

PS - Camilla's article:-

It’s one rule for Bond girls, quite another for Mr Bond.
Who are Daniel Craig’s meaty man breasts for? This week a photograph of the star’s laminated turkey crowns were unleashed as publicity for the upcoming James Bond film.

This has spawned frothing excitement over how you too can achieve the 52-year-old’s UV-flamed shaven-bum look, complete with a pair of tousled jeans opened just enough to reveal 3in of art-directed porno man fuzz.

If one of the Bond girls posed like this, there would, of course, be outrage, reams of furious comments about the foul Stone Age sexism of the Bond franchise.

This is because women are for ever victims of their own sexuality, whereas men are seen as in control of it, even if Craig looks like a desperate Florida male escort who’s just dropped a hit of meth with a mid-ranking Democratic politician in a four-star Miami hotel.

His breasts are there to remind other men that they are in control of their world — people are more irritated that Craig is 52 than that he is nearly totally naked. By contrast, women are slut-shamed over a mere side boob or thigh gap.

Hi Ronnie, it's interesting. Rick and I have had numerous conversations about the inconsistency between men and women. It's true, if it were a Bond girl (is that term even ok anymore?) there would be cries of sexism yet it seems to be ok if it's a man. Why iscit ok when it isn't for women?

The picture is indeed sexist and to my mind, he isn't Bond. I hope they choose Jon Hamm (Mad Men) for the next Bond movie.

Hermione

Having never seen a Bond movie in my life I guess I should stay out of the conversation, but what I should or should not do has rarely stopped me. He's a fine looking man no doubt, but I think I'd like to see him with his shirt on just as much or more. My imagination does quite well these days.

Well, the natural solution is to show both him and the Bond girl of this movie to be both topless. Easy solution everyone can enjoy.

I think that Red might have a good point there.

I didn't know that he was so old, only two years younger than me. Looking at hos six pack and comparing it to my family pack you would think that I would be jealous of him. Well you would be dead right, it gives me a big dose of the green eyed monsters :)

@Hermione - I think that Jon Hamm would be better as Felix Leiter.

Roz - You are totally right. I don't know. Thanks.

Hermione - I thought he did a good job as Bond. Not sure who I'd like as the next Bond, not to sure about Jon Hamm. Thanks.

PK - I know what you mean about clothes on. I do prefer that myself. Thanks.

Red - Can't see that happening. Thanks,

Prefectdt - I think a lot of men would like to be as fit as him at that age. Thanks.

Love,
Ronnie
