No, Mr Tears isn't a fearful spanker, he's a wooden cooking spoon which
caused an Australian journalist
mom to blush when her young child took
it to school and innocently told the story that went with it. I just
thought it was a sweet tale so here it is.

What a great story Ronnie, Mr Tears, I love it. The wooden spoon didn't really feature for me growling up. If anything Mum would just give me a quick slap on the thigh.

Fun story. Thanks

Hey thanks for the early morning laugh. Kinda reminds me of a old (American) TV show called "Kids Say the Darnedest things"
Cheers
What a cute story! At least the little one didn't take it for Show and Tell, which is what I thought at first.
Hugs,
Hermione
Funny little story, Ronnie. My mom never used a wooden spoon. All she had to do was mention that she might have to talk to my father. That was enough to make me behave.

It would have been even more embarrassing if the kid told his Teacher that Dad uses it to spank Mommy!
LOL I imagine every parent of a certain age would remember something similar. And secretly, the next generation might have a story or two (politically correct or not!)
Roz - No wooden spoon used in our house when growing up. Thanks.
Red - Happy you enjoyed it. Thanks.
Lazerous - Hello. A pleasure. Will have to look up that TV show. Thanks.
Hermione - Show and Tell, yes I remember that from my young schools days. Thanks.
Ella - Yes dad mentioned would stop you in your tracks. Thanks.
Glenmore - LOL. That definitely would have been most embarrassing. Thanks.
PK - Yes I agree with you there. Thanks.
Love,
Ronnie
