The word porridge has always made me think of the nursery rhyme and peas porridge cold sounds so unappetizing. We don't use the word over here. We do eat oatmeal and barely for breakfast, but never ever nuke it. As you describe P as a foodie, I can't believe he would eat microwaved oatmeal. You should be soundly thrashed for doing it. No need to thank me for getting you a hot bottom for a damn good reason.
