Isn't it ridiculous, all these years after
Emily Pankhurst and her suffragettes worked so hard to establish and
improve the rights of women, and countless wannabes since have thrown
in their own few pence worth to get us where we are today, that one woman I know
(me) still has a yearning for the days when men naturally assumed it was
their right to spank their women. I don't mean beat them up, oh no none of that
thank you, but to spank them as and when they saw fit.
The topic cropped up the other day after a Labour
candidate came to our door and introduced himself to me, he wanted my vote,
trying to oust the current incumbent, and he stressed the importance
of using it. I told P about him, P agreed I should use it, it had taken a
long time for women to get the vote, men too for that matter, and it was a right
which shouldn't be ignored through disinterest or disillusionment with modern
day politicians. I told him I thought not all aspects of emancipation for women
had been for the better and when he enquired further, needless to say my answer,
tongue in cheek, was that the right of a husband to, ahem, punish a wife or
minion corporally was a sad
loss.
P disagreed with me! He said he didn't think
it had ever been a right it was more of an assumption, that it wasn't a
thing laws could or should control, it was a matter between two people,
simple. So I asked him if he felt he had the natural right to spank me when
he considered necessary. He said yes of course and that would be the case for as
long as I acquiesced. He said I should look at it in different light, in
which I have rights too, equally important to his and one of those was the
right to be spanked amidst all this nonsense about what's politically
correct or not.
I thought about that for a bit, I know we were only
playing, then I said 'So I could claim my rights, right?' so to speak. He said
absolutely I could but I shouldn't bite off more than I could chew, then he
patted my bum affectionately and went upstairs.
Cunning is my husband, now I keep thinking about
claiming my rights and what 'biting off more than I can chew' would
entail.
Have a good week.

I love claiming my rights on my terms - but when Dan decides to over-ride my claim and beat on my butt for one of his reasons, it isn't always so 'soothing'.
Maybe when all men had to do was hitch up a skirt and spank an 'ever-ready' bare bum, they felt more inclined to do so. Now they would need to fight their way through tights, figure-compressing under garments, and other manner of stuff. Is there a message for us in this? LOL!

Ronnie I agree with your labor candidate. If she/he wants correction thru spanking and if she/he wants to correct by spanking then so be it. Spanking can be for correction or just for fun. You put two words in that get my dander up and I believe they were put together by candidates who want re election. politically correct. If you think about the meaning it says look what I gave you at the cost of tax payers re-elect me.

Hi Ronnie, I love P's thinking. I claimed my right earlier this evening :) ... actually, it may have been
more a case of Rick claiming his lol

Roz
...LOL..love this post. Hearing the way you two banter back and forth always makes me smile...and i would be curious also...about 'biting off more than you can chew'.

Be careful what you wish for!

Yes, those rights were fought hard for, and I should let P help you reclaim them by chaining you to the nearest railings and giving you something to chew on ;-)
Funny. Isn't it more of claiming a suggestion, given that the Dom (your husband) can override/veto/amend/deny?
What a fun post!
Ronnie,
That was a fun post. I agree that political correctness gets in the way of what a woman really needs. Some women don't even realize they need it. It's seems like we who are spanked can pick out those women in a crowd who need a good spanking! LOL

Hi Ronnie, thinking of being spanked as a right that I have, just like spanking is a right hubby has, is a pretty cool idea. Never thought of it that way. :)
Later tonight both of us will claim the rights that we have then. Wishing for you to claim yours without biting off more than you can chew. :)

Interesting conversation.
Wondering what the "biting off more than I can chew" would be.

PLease let us know when you have, somehow, resolved the issue.
LOL Ronnie...I do love the way P has with words and the way he tempts you. Just wondering just how long you will be able to wait before you 'claim your rights.' Will also be interested in finding out what is definition of 'biting of more than you can chew' entails. :D
Hugs and blessings...
Cat
MrJ - I certainly:) Thank you.
Cat - He's claimed his and now it's my turn. Not sure when. I'll bide my time:) Thanks.

Do tell what happens with your next spanking!

Red
I like to claim my rights to a spanking from R from time to time as I do want one. Of course, R also claims rights to spank me and I always obey. Equal opportunity.
Baxter
An interesting entry whose thoughts I'd agree with.
Red - I'll be sure to tell. Thanks.
Baxter - Equal opportunity is correct. Thank you.
Joanne - Hello to you. Glad you agree:) Thanks.
