I shall be popping into my nearest Aldi this
weekend, apparently they are targeting the 'horsey set' as the Daily Mail
headline puts it. They are launching their own cut-price equestrian clothing
range to kit out horse riders for no more than £50 (god, I'm sure I paid more
than that for just jodhpurs in the past). They don't say whether their range
will include ancillaries such as crops or whips.
Equestrian Life magazine editor Zoe Molesworth
described Aldi's move as 'fantastic' and added 'Riding, whether for competition
or leisure, is at an all time high in the UK'. I wonder if leisure would broadly
include my particular interest.
It occurred to me Aldi is German owned, right, so
they're bound to be decent quality. And as for crops well German riding
instructors are noted for their strictness aren't they
or have I just been having dreams again.
Have a fun weekend.
Have a fun weekend.

I guess that the Marketing team at Aldi have come up with a product line to coincide with the upcoming launch of 5 Shades of Grey. It is a new slant on "something for the weekend ?" but for their female shoppers. You may find that they are stocking a new range of hairbrushes.
LOL. I shop quite often at Aldi, but I never saw it in that light before. Shopping there in the future will never be quite the same.
LoL Ronnie, happy shopping, you'll have to update us :)

I hope you find and get everything you want, and I hope P thinks you paid too much - what a great outcome.
Knowing how frugal P is you might not get the reaction you want.
Here, Aldi is a grocery store.
Happy shopping.. sounds wonderful.. and should definitely earn you a spanking for purchasing things you do not need. Have a great weekend!

DAL - Hello. Neither will I:) Thank you.
Roz - P will be wondering why I want to go into Aldi when I was only there the other day. Thanks.
Hermione - They are a global supermarket but sell lots of one of lines. Thank you.
PK - P thinks I pay too much whatever I buy:) Thanks.
SG - Knowing P I will get the reaction I want - for spending on something I totally don't need and would never wear outside:) Yes, Aldi is the supermarket. Didn't know they were in the US as well. Thanks.
Red - I didn't say I was purchasing:) Thanks.

Never saw anything remotely as interesting in our Aldi's here!

Aldi sells riding gear in the UK?? Man, they really do sell everything over there. Aldi is basically a discount grocery store here in the US, but when I visited Germany, I noticed an Aldi catalog that sells excursions and getaways, furniture, and more stuff for the home--I wish they would expand like that here! I could get implements at a discount!
Autumn - Yes Aldi classed as a discount store but have some good things. Had no idea they sold furniture and the likes in Germany. Thanks.
Love,
Ronnie
