Bottoms Up

My weekly review of a least favourite implement, as expressed by readers.

This week - The Cane

Joey (Joey and Friends) writes.....

As a bottom, I have felt the sting and thump of many different types of implements.  I really enjoy a good hand spanking preferably in the OTK position.  In the right hands, a leather strap or belt can be a challenge, but I look forward to both.  A friend used a Tawse on me and I quivered from the sting, but I could process the pain. I do not like wooden paddles and protest if a Top wants to use any implement made of wood.  But, I can tolerate most items made from wood, even large paddles.

I have a healthy respect for the cane.  I have felt the sting and burn of almost every type of rattan cane including a very heavy and long judicial cane.  I have knots in my stomach for days before I know that I will be caned, but being a greedy bottom I always want more.

I have to admit that there is one implement that scares me.  At the request of several bottoms who are experienced players, I used this implement on their covered bottoms,

not bare bottom, but “protected” by pants or panties.  When I struck their bottoms with it, they jumped with a blood curdling yelp and immediately rubbed the spot. In each case, they told me that one was enough.  All three eventually indicated that they had a welt from the stoke.

I would call the implement a plastic cane, but it is not stiff, it is flexible. With a length of 24 inches, it is not long.  And, the diameter is a little bit longer than a junior cane. Actually, when I purchased it, I did not think it would be that severe, but the man who made it told me that it was the most stingy cane he sold. “It will make you cry.”

So, I not only hate this implement, I fear its use.

Thank you, Joey.
Don't forget, if any bottoms, male or female who would like to do a review of their LEAST favourite implement and why, please email me ronniesoul@gmail.com. I'll keep it secret if it's just for me but if it's OK for me to post it please say so. Pictures are always good.

See you next week for another Bottoms Up.

Never mind feeling nervous in anticipation of its use...the very picture of the thing scares the living daylights out of me !! Sarah, LD, UK

Unfortunately I too have experienced a similar plastic cane and I agree that it is completely different to a wooden cane and considerably more severe. Normally I love being caned y my Mistress the swish and the biting sting as it bites into my; usually bare, buttocks is the highspot of any session but when she used one of these on me I didn't enjoy it one bit. I wouldn't dream of complaining during my punishment but my Mistress is fortunately well attuned to my feelings and realised that I was in some distress and switched back to a normal cane quickly. We haven't used it since to my relief but it is still there and I might experience it again if I upset her in some way.

Thanks Ronnie, and thanks Joey for a wonderful review.

Yikes! I'm with Sarah, the very look of it scares the willies out of me LoL.

We have actually used plastic rods, not canes as such, more makeshift implements. The sting is almost unbearable, I couldn't take many strokes with those things. Happily, they each eventually got broken LoL

Hugs,
Roz

In this case it is actually YOUR comments in which I am interested, Ronnie. ;-))

Joey I know what you are feeling.
We have not bought a rod like yours, but my wife does use the plastic rod from our window blinds and that gives a very deep sting and welts. Great story Joey thanks.

I guess the plastic is Lexan. I think it must be more severe because it is heavier and harder than rattan. I recently read that someone used two glue sticks stuck end to end, and these are considerably heavier than rattan. They were said to be very severe, even OTK, and glue sticks are quite short. They can be stuck together quite easily, though how strong the joint is I have not yet tested!

Thank you Ronnie for posting my review. The sting derives from the whipping action of the flexible plastic cane.

Ronnie,
You know my feelings about the cane - all are evil and should be destroyed! I can't argue with anything Joey said!

You are very brave Joey. My bottom is allergic to canes - so not happening ever.

Sarah - I think I'll stick to the wooden ones:) Thanks Sarah.

Simon - I hope you never feel that cane again and I hope I never have the pleasure of feeling one. Cheers Simon.

Roz - You broken a plastic rod. Have you broken any others. Thanks Roz.

MrJ - Sorry to disappoint:) I have no experience of this type of cane though we do have a acrylic or plastic (not sure if same as Joey's) two prong cane thing but hasn't been used in a very very long time and not sure if we still have it. Will ask P.

Archedone - I remember the rod and wouldn't want to try it:) Cheers Archedone.

Malcolm - I can't image having a glue stick used on my bottom let alone two. Yes very severe I should think. Cheers Malcolm.

Joey - No, thank you. Enjoyed your review.

PK - You have to admit that you are glad to have experienced the cane, yes? Thanks PK.

KG - For me, wouldn't quite go so far as to say they are evil:)

SG - LOL. I'm surprised PK hasn't come up with that one. Thanks SG.

Scares the daylights out of me. That type of material plus the thin cane like shape, it hurts just looking at it.

Blondie - Scary indeed and thanks to Joey, wont be on my Christmas list. Thanks Blondie.

As you know Ronnie, this pliable stinging spanking implement is my favourite. It delights my sexual erotic senses, when I use it on a female's bare bottom. "How do I love thee 'CANE'. Let me count the ways". is one of my cherished motto's.

Never going... there!! Not even to try it once. LOL

Minelle - I say, never say never but with this - I think you're right.

Terps - Thanks for stopping by.

Lea - I'd like to see and hold one but that's all:) Thanks Lea.

That cane looks formidable. Delrin would be my guess.

Glue sticks? The ones I buy are about 6 inches long, so I would need several s tuck together to be useful. LOL - a craft project for a rainy day:)

One implement to stay away from.

I'd like to see the end result of that craft project:)

Thanks Hermione.

Hi Ronnie,

Oooh that thing looks awfully painful! No thank you! I'm sure that it is much worse than the plastic hanger makeshift thing that Willie speaks of, which came to mind when I looked at this. That is supposed to be evil too. Joey- I'd fear it's use for sure!!! Hugs!

Hmmm...I have developed a fondness for certain canes recently but a plastic one definitely gives me pause!

ronnie said...

Katie - Plastic coat hanger, now that I wouldn't like to meet. Thanks Katie.

Dawn - Same here but then, I'd like to see and feel one, feel in my hands not on my bottom:) Thanks Dawn.

We have along thin whippy plastic cane, but rarely use it. It is as evil as stated, in that it goes past the bottom to hit the side of the cheek. Each stroke leaves a mark from the tip.
My reaction to knowing a spanking is coming, as much as I like them, is a shortness of breathe, in the manner that I can't get that deep cleansing breath easily.

Thanks a lot for sharing, Joey and Ronnie! I already have a love-hate-relationship with the wooden unpeeled cane because I love its classy style and the marks but hate its sting. The plastic cane sounds even worse in that regard!

ronnie said...

Kaelah - What do you mean - wooden unpeeled cane, Is there a difference from a normal wooden one?

Thanks Kaelah.

Kaelah said...

I meant a peeled wooden cane, not an unpeeled one, Ronnie. The peeled ones are the most common ones here in Germany and they are more flexible and therefore stingier than the unpeeled ones which are, for instance, more common in the UK.

ronnie said...

I'll remember to stay away from the peeled one if they are stingier:) Thanks for explaining Kaelah.
