COVID that is. After all this time, and being very careful, it got me. Thankfully because of the vaccinations it wasn't too bad. It left me with tiredness, and a cough and I've lost my sense of taste. The tiredness seems to have passed, just the cough and taste to go. My friend who had Covid around 12 months ago still hasn't had her sense of smell return. I hope it doesn't take me that long to get my sense of taste back.
A smile for today. Sent by one of my lovely readers. I love Wolfie's work.
I really need my spanking.

Oh no, sorry to hear you got bitten by the dreaded bug. I have managed to avoid it so far, but being back in the office where it seems to be alive and back on the train I'm wondering how much longer before it bites me.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it was relatively mild and hope your sense of taste returns soon.
Love the pic!

Roz
I suppose this virus will be with us for the long haul. Good to hear your case was not bad. Hopefully you will be tasting something sweet and gooey at Waitrose real soon.
ReplyDeleteI hate that it got you but I'm glad it was mild and I hope everything is well and back to normal soon. I lost my sense of smell when I had it but only for a day or two. Thank God for the vaccine! Take care.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon and drink plenty of alcohol. Or should that be liquids? I am always confusing the two :)
ReplyDeletePrefectdt
Roger that, plenty of liquids. Hope your sense of smell will come back soon!
DeleteOh dear, so sorry to hear that the virus has laid you low. We just got our notifications for a spring vaccination, so I had better make appointments for us.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Hermione
Roz - I had been really careful so I was surprised when I caught it. Stay safe. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteBogey - Sadly it will. I shall look forward to having something gooey. Thanks.
PK - I was surprised P didn't get it. Our age group won't have another jab until Autumn/Winter. That will be our fourth. Thanks.
Prefectdt - LOL. Yep, I have been keeping up with the alcohol. How many jabs have you had? Thanks.
Hermione - Yes get your next jab. How many now for you? Thanks.
Sore is More. Thanks. Seems it's on the way back.
Love,
Ronnie

Ronnie -- I hope you feel better. Covid sucks. And it's so unpredictable. But they're saying those of us with jabs will do much better with it, so there's that.
ReplyDeleteErica hi - Thank you. Much better. Taste has come back. I'm so glad I had the jabs. I think, over 60's will be offered another jab Autumn/Winter. That will be my fourth.
ReplyDeleteHope all's well with you and John.

Glad those jabs has only left you with a mild version of the dreaded bug. I didn't experience much except for a scratchy throat and body aches the first night. By the time I tested positive I was up and about but still had to be quarantined. Just make sure you're both masked up and keep washing your hands and sanitising all the high-touch surfaces you share.
ReplyDeleteI was also advised to take lots of Vit C , D and astaxanthin as these were what the doctors and nurses in our Covid centres were on during the worst of the pandemic. Apparently it's a good antioxidant cocktail. Can't hurt, in any case.
Get well soon!
(I did feel like I was constantly ALMOST gonna get sick. That sort of 'weak' feeling lasted for more than half a year. I don't think I can say I was back to normal till at least 8 mths after my Covid event. So that really sucked.)
Fondles - Thanks.Yep, thank goodness for the jabs. Mine started with a scratchy throat.
ReplyDeleteI do understand you thinking your going to come down with something else, I feel much better though I do seem to get tired more often. I'm sure that will pass.
I really don't know how or where I caught it as I have been very careful with the wearing masks and washing and sanitizing my hands.
Love,
Ronnie

Brigitte - Thanks.

Good Golly, Miss Molly, that is, Ronnie! This post was some time ago, but I've been distracted, so I'm supposing by now you are fully mended? Able to enjoy food, drink, flowers, and the smell of wet dogs running in with dog kisses?
ReplyDeleteGlad you got grins from that Mort Walker pastiche-- I'd forgotten it!
