The Headmaster

No he wasn't.

Tuesday's post (see below)) I thought he was a Headmaster, but I was wrong, he was a seller of canes. Anon (thank you) has given us his name and a link to where the photo was found. It was taken for the Australian Post, 17th November 1955.

E. A Wildman was 26 years old and was supplying 10,000 schools all over the world with canes and was a campaigner for corporal punishment in the UK.

 I hadn't heard of him.

hadn't heard of him either - mind you we didn't have corporal punishment with canes over here - I believe belts were used more often - or a ruler... now of course no corporal punishment at all - well except for in the bedroom (cheeky grin)
