When you want to know a name of a film or an actor you ask the experts.
Is it John Wayne? No idea on the girl.
I'm sure I know this guy but can't put a name to the face
No idea who these three are.
Any of them worth a watch?
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

No clue. But I don't think the first one is John Wayne. I'll be checking back to see if anyone else knows.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
PK
PK - I hope they do. Yes, looking at the picture again I don't think it's John Wayne.
ReplyDeleteThanks PK.

I thought Bacall knew all the actors in the B&W ere, but I was wrong.
ReplyDeleteI can't help you either, but I'll bet Erica can identify them all.

Fist Picture:
ReplyDeleteFlying Down to Rio (1933)
Gene Raymond spanks Dolores Del Rio.
Clip:

Second picture:
John Barrymore spanks his wife Elaine Barrie on stage on Broadway - a production called "My Dear Children", 1940
I know the third one, too - might be able to name it later on.
Third picture is from "Her Big Night" (1926).
ReplyDeleteJohn Roche spanks Laura LaPlante
A "lost" spanking so far, no clip available yet.

I didn't know any of them...but was interested in the way the first two had their arms across her upper chest, under her at the front, never seen that before...xxxxx
ReplyDeleteRonnie, as you can see. CHROSS, is the greatest 'spanking movie' expert in the world. UNO NUMERO. And I might add he writes a most interesting, and entertaining 'spanking blog', that is MUST reading for all 'spanking enthusiasts.
ReplyDeleteIn the first picture, it looks like a very young Elizabeth Taylor getting spanked. I don't think the man is John Wayne.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea about the second picture, but the man looks a bit like a much less serious Charles Laughlin (sp?) who was Captain Bligh in Mutiny On the Bounty.
In the third, the lady looks like Lillian Gish and the man who is standing reminds me of Buster Keaton.
I hope you find out.
Well, I guess Chross wins. He knows!
ReplyDeleteOBB - Bacall must have a good memory. I'm hopeless as remembering actors names.
ReplyDeleteHermione - I thought of Erica when I posted. Thank you.
Chross - I knew there was an expert out there. Thank you so much. John Barrymore, I thought I knew the face.
Daisy - I'm dreadful with names but thanks to Chross we know them all and with clips. Thanks.
SOTB - Chross is the best and yeshis blog is a must read. Thanks.
Bobbie Jo - Hi. Thank you. I wondered if the man standing in the third one was Buster Keaton. Take a look at comments from Chross, he knows them all.

Ronnie

1 - Flying Down To Rio has the distinction of being the first pairing of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, so yes it is worth seeing.
ReplyDelete2 - Buster Keaton is not the third man in the 3rd photo. IMDB does not have him listed as a castmember of that film.
SS - Hello. Thanks, will see if I can find Flying Down to Rio. I wonder who the man standing is then.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
