It's the fear, anxiety and anticipation...

So says Pandora Blake when asked about what makes spankings hot. It was reported in an article in The Guardian on Monday, you can read the whole article here but I copied the extract which got my attention.....

“What’s hot about spanking is the fear of it, the anxiety and anticipation of what’s coming,” Blake says. She likes to create scenes not where spanking just comes out of nowhere, but where a character anticipates it, “like a schoolgirl who knows she’s going to get a caning after school and can’t think about anything else and she’s asking her friends how bad it’s going to be, if it’s going to hurt.

Oh yes, Pandora, I'm not saying that sums up the essence of a hot spanking full stop, because there are lots of other things too depending on circumstances at the time but that particular little scenario used to illustrate her point certainly struck a note with me. Ooh I can feel the tingle as I type:)

Have a fun weekend.

There is a fine line between anticipation and dread. But it is a place I like to be. Thanks for the article, too, Ronnie.

That's very true. The uncertainty makes it all so much more rewarding.

I agree - sometimes the spanking is anticlimatic (well almost).

I do so love your thoughts on spanking Ronnie. Spankings are for fun and they are definitely a turn on. My wife does a marvellous job and I get so amorous I just have to show her my appreciation if you know what I mean.

Yes, the fear of having her knickers taken down, the fear of how many strokes of the cane, she will receive, the fear of the pain of the cane. The embarrassment of her fellow classmates, seeing her facing the wall, with the dreaded instrument standing beside. That is how a perfect corporal punishment should be given, by a headmaster.

Totally accurate way of describing the effect when you know you are going to be spanked. (fear, anxiety, anticipation) It is something we desire, and can think about erotically when no spanking is in sight. However, if a spanking you will remember is promised later in the day, then these emotions totally take over. We know no real injury will occur, BUT..... it is damn well going to hurt, and not stop just because we would like it to stop.
