Bucket List

I've got a bucket list of artists I've wanted to see and I'm very lucky that I've ticked off all of them except for three (well two now as one has died)  Tom Jones and The Boss and happy to say, I'll be ticking off another one as I've got tickets to see Tom Jones.

So only The Boss left to see.

What about you? Do you have such a list or is there a particular singer/group you've always wanted to see?

Stay Safe.

Hi Ronnie,

Yay on getting to see Tom Jones, that will be awesome!

My musical bucket list was Bon Jovi and The Boss. Happy to say we have ticked both off. You HAVE to see Bruce if you can. We have attended every concert he has done here, including going to gigs on subsequent nights and I'm happy to say we got up close to him on one occasion and I molested him lol. Ok, not quite.

His gigs are more than a concert, they are a life experience. He is such a performer.

Hugs
Roz

Tom Jones - that will be quite an experience.

I was lucky enough to see Angela Hewitt perform, and had a front row seat. (She plays Bach phenomenally.)

I also saw Judy Collins, at the same venue as it happens - a church, so it was quite intimate. She is well over 70 but her voice is still outstanding.

Hugs,
Hermione

Alas, my 'bucket list' is devoid of performers of any kind. It's much more geared towards "places to go" & "things to do".

I used to go to shows often enough, and sometimes still do. (We just saw Al DiMeola a few weeks ago.) But with finances being tight and then Covid, shows slipped down the priority list until I am now quite content to get my music off a CD or other format and forego the hassle and expense of a live show. The other thing is I don't really listen to pop/rock music unless Rosa has chosen the program.

Now, SHE has Bon Jovi on HER bucket list and I agreed I would take her if a show manifests itself. (There are always ear plugs I suppose. LOL) Now me? I have already seen the King's Singers a couple of times and really enjoyed their shows. I suppose I wouldn't mind seeing them again before my ears stop working, but it's certainly not a driving desire. I have enough of their CDs to keep me happy. ;-)

This is wonderful for you! As for me, I wasn't a concert going before the pandemic. I've only been to three major concerts - Elton John, Willie Nelson and Cher. All were fantastic, but I'm not planning anymore.

I use to listen only opera singers. My list include names as Jonas Kaufmann, Anna Netrebko (I hope do it next year), the Maori singer Pene Pati, the Mongolian barítono Amartuvshin, etc.

Roz - Not a fan of Bon Jovi myself but think it would be a good concert. I shall be keeping eyes open for dates when he's appearing but the trouble is, no one I know wnats to go and see him and not sure I'd go on my own. Maybe I could persuade P:) Tom was great. Thanks.

Hermione - At 81 he still has the voice. A really good convert. I would have liked to hear some of his gospel songs. I had to look up Judy Collins. Thanks.

kdpierre - Yes, I've go a bucket list of places to go but not ticking them off. There 's nothing like seeing a live performance from your favourite artist. I hope Bon Jovi comes around so you can get tickets. Thanks.

PK - Just one left for me though I wouldn't say no if someone gave me tickets to see Cher. I've seen Elton years ago really good. Thanks.

Laxmi - Thanks. Shamefully I hadn't heard of any of these so had to look them up, I hope you get to go next year.

Pref - He was goood. Hopefully you can see him. When travel eases maybe you could come back to UK and see him then. Thanks

Love,
Ronnie

no bucket list for performers, but travel, that is something we MISS. Hope the concert stays on, and only allows vaccinated people in. Wednesday had over 51,000 new covid cases in the UK. Insanity rules the day.
