Tree Huggers

"So what's a tree hugger?" I asked my husband after he sent me the below picture with the comment 'obviously not all tree huggers should be shot then.'

I honestly didn't know. I wondered if it was some kind of revived hippy style movement dedicated to forest life living off nature, vegetarians naturally and with very liberal sexual morals. Naturally.

He told me it was a slang synonym for environmentalist types, pains in the arse always out in force whenever a new development's about to get started. Except when it's bloody windmills of course, then you won't see them protesting. I remembered then, I had heard the expression before, my husband has a way with words.

"So you don't like them then, P. And what about the girl in the picture, is she a tree hugger? And where did you find her anyway, were you researching tree huggers?"

"No I wasn't and yes, she clearly is hugging a tree and therefore she is a tree hugger. But not that type of tree hugger.

I thought about it, I could see the connection. Still don't where he found the girl though. But I like the picture so I'm sharing it.

Have a fun weekend.

LOL Ronnie...never seen a tree hugger like this! Usually, they have handcuffed or chained themselves to the darn tree...of course that could be interesting. ;)

Thanks for sharing the picture. Have a great weekend!

Not your typical tree hugger, but she does seem to be very comfortable with the tree...Your conversations with P. are quite interesting..

I remember tree huggers from years back, but I've got the feeling this is a different type of tree hugger. She has a nice smile and is relaxed and maybe thinking of the spanking she is about to receive.
We need more like her in the woods.

LoL Ronnie, definitely not the kind of tree hugger I'm familiar with.

I don't know either, but I bet the tree huggers here would like to use her as their poster girl - bet people would like them then.

lovely tree hugger.. glad to know P researches items on the internet...
bottoms up

As an ex employee (that's employee, not volunteer) of Friends Of The Earth, back in the mid eighties, I suppose that I am technically a tree hugger but one who has never actually hugged a tree. I have run away from a few trees, when they have fallen the wrong way, whilst I was chopping them down.

Can't help but think that with a few more nudist tree huggers around, environmental groups might gain more popularity.

Cat - LOL. Now that would be intersting seeing the police try to move them on. Thank you.

Jan - After all the years together, I still don't know what goes through his mind at times:) Thanks.

Fondles - Maybe with summer around the corner, we may see some new recruits. Thanks.

Abby - We do have some unusual conversations:) Thanks.

Archedone - Maybe if they had more tree huggers like her, people would think differently about them:) Thank you.

Roz - Yes, a little different:) Thanks.

PK -Yes, I think more would be joining their cause. Thanks.

SG - Ray must have the same taste in tree huggers as P:) Thanks.

Red - No idea what he was researching. Thanks.

Pref - That's what I said to P, a few like the girl in the photo would definitely boost their numbers. Thanks. Good to see you. Hope all's well.

No, not like any of the tree huggers I know. What a sweet picture.

She doesn't look like any of the "tree huggers" I have ever seen.

I tend to agree with P. about "tree huggers" but this one is obviously an exception. She looks uncomfortable hugging that rough-barked tree though. I volunteer myself as a far more comfortable alternative...

Wonder if she has read Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey? However she is bound to get rubbed up the wrong way hugging a tree like that?

Odd that tree Hugger is sometimes used as a term of abuse, bit like the term Do-Gooders.

Not like any of the tree huggers I have encountered either. A very beautiful woman. Maybe she likes the feel of the bark?

Blondie - Maybe she's a new recruit:) Thanks.

Smuccatelli - I thought she look pretty comfortable. Thank you.

MrandMrsB - I'll have to check that book out. Thanks.

Ami - Love to know what she was thinking. Thanks.

She isn't really hugging the tree and the scene is not right. She should have her arms around the tree and her bottom should be exhibiting redness with a person spanking her with a sapling.

I don't see a tree hugger at all. And I'm not getting into what I do see... hehehe ...

Have a wonderful weekend Ronnie
