Festive Meme

Remember this one you did Hermione?

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Wrapping paper.

2. Real tree or artificial?
Real. I love going to choose the tree though P does get fed up with me asking him, hold this one up and this one, move back a bit, twist it round. What do you think of this one? I mean, you can't just pick any tree you have to find just the right one, don't you?

3. When do you put up the tree?

About 8-10 days before Christmas. Our tree went up yesterday but haven't finished decorating it yet.

4. When do you take the tree down?

New Year's day.

5. Do you like eggnog?

Oh no, hate the stuff.

6. Favourite gift received as a child?

A nurses outfit.

7. Hardest person to buy for?

My dearest.

8. Easiest person to buy for?

Nieces and nephews.

9. Do you have a nativity scene?

Not anymore.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?

Always send my Christmas snail mail, not a fan of Ecards. Here's one I sent before and one we received (this is the second time we've received the candy cane one.

11. Worst Christmas gift ever received.
From Ex SIL. Gave me used toiletries:(

12. Favourite Christmas movie?

A Christmas Carol.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?

Christmas Eve (has been known)  Never before 1st December thought this year I did buy one present at the end of November.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?

Yes. I gave it to a local charity.

15. Favourite thing to eat at Christmas?

Christmas pudding.

16. Lights on the tree; coloured or white?

We have coloured and white lights. I change each year. I've gone for coloured this time.

17. Favourite Christmas song?

There are a few I like but no real favourite.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
I prefer to be home.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?

Yes and this one is my favourite:)

20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
Angel, Star or nothing. I change every year.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Christmas morning.

22. Favourite ornament theme or colour?

I have a couple of old ornaments from when son was small and they always go on the tree.  No theme but do love red and gold.

23. Favourite for Christmas dinner?

Turkey with all the trimmings except sprouts.

24. What do you want for Christmas this year?

A nice red.....

.....scarf.  What did you think I was going to say?

25. Who is most likely to respond to this?

Friend.

Fun meme. Thanks Hermione.

Have a good week.

Favorite gift received as a child? ... A nurses outfit.
Sounds like it's time for P. to buy you a new one... :) And I thought you were going to say red panties, not a scarf. Most of my answers were the same as yours, except I shop early. I hate crowds and pushy women... One time I had a lady grab a dress out my hand that I was going to buy my spouse. My daughter knew that look in my eyes and step in front of me. Spanking that woman was not my intentions. I was going to jail for sure that day. I stop shopping late after that and a few other close calls with late shoppers. I now one click shop with my two day shipping with Amazon. :)

Nice meme.
Hope the preparations for Crimble are going well and that you leave some time during the baking for a quick application of the wooden spoon.

A very truthful meme. As we used to live across the country from the kids and they would come for Thanksgiving that is when the tree went up. This is the first year in 14 that all of us will be together for Christmas and having Turkey. All shopping was done by 12/9/13, I hate crowded stores. I know what I'm going to buy before I enter the store and usually only go to 3 stores and I'm done.

Ronnie, I loved your answers. I have given unwanted gifts to charity too; sometimes to a silent auction if they are expensive, otherwise to Salvation Army.

Just have to get some of that wrapping paper! Many of your answers are just what mine would be, especially about the shopping part, and I understand about choosing a tree as Dan went and bought ours all on his own this year, and it is lopsided! LOL!

A great little meme!
