Bottoms Up

My weekly review of a least favourite implement, as expressed by readers.

This week - Wooden spoons and wooden paddles.

Simon writes...

"Over the years my Mistress has used a variety of straps, paddles, canes and other implements on my bottom. Some I like and some I hate but I'm having trouble deciding which I dislike most so I'm going to nominate two.

1. Wooden spoons, I hate them, they look so innocuous but seem to sting more than anything else even much larger and heavier implements.

2. Large wooden paddles, they are so heavy and you don't get a sting so much as a thump. They bruise and knock the breath out of you."

Thanks Simon.  I'm not a lover of thuddy implements either.

Don't forget, if any bottoms, male or female who would like to do a review of their LEAST favourite implement and why, please email me ronniesoul@gmail.com. I'll keep it secret if it's just for me but if it's OK for me to post it please say so. Pictures are always good.

See you next week for another Bottoms Up.

Bottoms are Bottoms because they on't to get choose the implements. That's why Tops like wooden spoons I guess.

Umm, never thought of a wooden spoon being that severe.
I think I must add one to my little bag of tricks.
Sorry bottoms some things just have to be done :):) ;)

Thanks Simon and Ronnie. Great review and I agree, wooden spoons can pack a punch! Thankfully, I haven't experienced a heavy wooden paddle.

Roz

Bacall and I both bottom and we choose the spoons and paddles that we want used on us.

Our wooden spoon isn't too bad, nor are the smaller wooden paddles. Bigger is definitely NOT better in this case.

Hermione

It's strange, but I have a real fear of 'swishy' things like belts and canes, yet wooden implements are simply to be endured. I am very familiar with a variety of wooden spoons and spatulas, and even a chunky hairbrush gets regular outings, but we only have a leather paddle so I can't comment on that. I actually wonder how you would use a wooden paddle as they seem very long to me?

Hugs

Just goes to show why I prefer leather over wood any day.

I'll have to agree with Simon on the large wooden paddles, but I like the sting of the wooden spoon - at least for short sessions. Over all I'm more of a leather girl too.

PK

Michael - I'm glad my top doesn't use the wooden spoon:) Thanks Michael.

Bob - You tops shouldn't be reading here:) Thanks Bob.

Roz - Heavy paddles should be banned. Luckily we don't have any. Thanks Roz.

OBB - You are lucky, most bottoms don't get a choice. Thanks OBB.

Hermione - I think its to do with how they spank with the wooden spoon, all in one spot on each cheeck. Thanks Hermione.

Ami - Leather for me. I'm not a fan of our wooden ruler. Yes, some of the paddles seem very long but no knowledge on the use of one. Maybe some will do a review of one. Thanks Ami.

SG - Me too. Thanks SG.

Terps - They should be left in the utensil jar. Thanks Terps.

PK - You reminded me, I must leave the dogging bat out again, hasn't had a run for a while:) Thanks PK.

Joey - Thanks for stopping by.

Love,
Ronnie

Similar to Ami, but we have not even got a leather padddle. I bet our house on the fact that Peter comes back with one after our family holiday to the US. It's a given. Sarah,LD,UK

Wooden spoons are much more formidable than they appear at first glance. And they have a way of getting into every little area.
