A Touchy Subject

Female masturbation. Yep that's what I'm posting about.

Why? Because I heard part of an interview on BBC Radio 4 with Tracey Emin (the often controversial British artist) in which she expounded the virtues of and even challenged her interviewer to come out and admit that she surely must or must have masturbated. And I like Emin's forthrightness, though definitely not all of her art, and I do try to add a bit of topical content from time to time.
Nothing wrong with it in my opinion (masturbation that is) and I was going to write a whole script about it but then I googled upon a new blog called lizsage which does a nice summary so I've linked her instead, she's a new blogger by the way and it's her first post, nothing to do with spanking but I hope she finds other interesting subjects to post and I wish her good luck.

So where's the spanking connection, you're asking? There isn't one really I just enjoyed the part of the interview I heard and I thought you'd be interesting in reading Liz about female masturbation.

Paintings by Tracey Emin.

Hope you have a good week.

I know we think more about men masturbating but I kinda assumed everyone on the planet does from time to time. I read Liz's post and I'll tell you the same thing I posted there. Since we each know exactly what feel best to us there are times when you realize that 'if you want something done right, do it yourself.'

Hi Ronnie,

There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's the best way for a woman to get in touch with her body and find out what pleases her. Then she can help her man press all the right buttons :)

Hermione

Allow an "old man" to make a suggestion to men who are dating. Perhaps even before you have carnal knowledge of your new friend, ask her to masturbate for you. Pay close attention and then try to imitate while asking for feedback. Paddling the pink canoe is mutually enjoyable.

PK - I know what you mean and If everyone is totally honest they would admit they masturbate. I do know a couple ladies who say they never have, I believe one of them but not the other.

Hermione - Totally agree but it's still a slighly touchy subject for some women to talk about. A friend of a friend says she doesn't know how anyone could masturbate (she wont even say the word.) She's not married so I suppose that says it all.

OBB - Maybe not on the first date :) but your right, excellent advice.

Thanks, PK, OBB, hope your enjoying Memorial day.

Hermione not sure if Canada has a day off today.

very interesting topic. However, we will have to search out blogs dedicated to masturbation, that extol its joys... and just as we stay anonymous while writing spanking blogs, this topic will rarely make dinner conversation with friends... maybe a good reason to meet and greet other spankos... Just the word master.. gives it a connotation of men..
Who knows, if women masturbate, they might even be allowed to drive... (tongue in cheek...cheeky)
Dare we ask... Does any spanko blogger masturbate, and does your partner know?
cheers

Red - I'd be more than happy to talk about masturbation around a dinner table but I think some of our friends would find it quite uncomfortable and not just the women. Yes cheeky indeed, I think I need a word with Cindy:)

Thanks Red.

Ronnie: The joke on masturbation is that when people are asked how much it too much, they say one more time than they do it. Now that I think of it, people will discuss their sex lives more than they will discuss masturbation. And I think some unfortunate women are taught nice girls don't do that.

FD - You are so right, that's what a lot of girls were told. Some women find talking about all types of sex difficult, suppose it's how they were bought up.

Thanks FD.

Enjoy your week.

When I "learned" about masturbation in health class it focused exclusively on male masturbation and how it was OK. There was little to no mention of female masturbation with the obvious message to me being - that is not something girls do.

I'm glad it's being talked about in different ways now. It's good for you!

JAG - Hello. Growing up female masturbation was never talked about and funny now so many years later women find it hard to talk about and yes should be talked about more.

Thanks.
