For all Kinky DIYers

Imagine what it would be like to actually have to go and cut these yourself first.

This bottom doesn't. Freaks me out if my whole head is covered.

Reminds me of the catapult son had.

I made this bootlace mini whip (it was one of the easy ones:)) and personally I think a handle of some sort is needed.

Truckers Knot - never heard of that one and can someone tell me what's an average sized bottom?

You can see more here and if anyone wants the instructions just email me

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I agree, I wouldn't like the hood. And vacuuming up the bits from the birch rod doesn't appeal either.

I do like the bootlace one. I think you could make a handle by wrapping a lace around the bottom and gluing the end. There's a shoe repair shop nearby that sells lovely long leather laces. Maybe I should pop in on my way home from work.

Hermione

Hoods are a turn off me.

Spring here. New growth. It can be fun to pass some time escorting a lass into the woods to select her switches. Bundle them up and use them with gusto on her bare nates. She can pick up the trash!

I'm not sure what a trucker's knot is either, but it might be worth learning.

These are fun, rainy day adventures. Thanks for posting!

Hermione - I was thinking more of a longer handle but wrapping a lace around could work. Have a go, easy to make. If you do make sure you let us know.

OBB - If the weather is nice this weekend P said we'll go for a walk in the woods, I wonder if he has something in mind:)

Pink - My pleasure. I'm going to Google that knot.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Apparently when I am coming across to the UK in August/September the birch will be applied. Eh...wonder if saying NO will help?
The hood? No way - just the thought of it gives me the shudders.
The rope thingy I will not even attempt. Will most probably land up all tangled up...

Thinking about Birches, I prune so many different types of shrubs and trees, all year round, that would make good and varying birches. I am tempted to start making a few and photographing them for the blog, to make comparisons. Thanks for the idea.

Almost forgot. I think that the Truckers knot is the same as a wagoners hitch. This is a very useful knot to know, I use it almost daily at work. I have found a vid of a guy who ties a similar but not the same version of this knot, as I use on YouTube. copy and pastable address below.

Note; things to do; Head down to a DIY store and have a look around.Try and make yourself aware of what's out there, so that when you start dealing with the professionals, you've got some idea of the materials available [for the particular jobs you want done].”

Good question about what is an average sized bottom. I wonder if clothing manufacturers have it figured out. LOL.

Prefectdt -Oh I hope you do make some and post, I'll look forward to it but wont your firm wonder why you are taking branches home?

Thanks for the link to youtube will check it out later but I'm not very good at tying knots even with instructions, luckily P is:)

Paolo - Hello. Every time I go to the DIY store with P for vanilla items, I always come away with something can be used for TTWD LOL

Turiya - LOL word verification. The book is at the office so I'll email you the full instructions on Monday.

FD - LOL with all the different pairs of jeans I tried on last week I doubt if they do.

Happy weekend to you all and thanks so much for stopping by.
