Working Girls II

P was telling me the other day that one of our clients has just acquired one of those old British red telephone boxes to put in his new restaurant, I don't know if he's going to put a phone it or if it's just decor. Not sure where he got it but there aren't many around in public use these days, I reckon they'll become collectors items if not already.

It reminded me of an old post on working girls advertising their varied services in the telephone boxes in London, they used to stick their business cards in the booths.

Here's another selection of their 'business cards'

Wonder where they advertise now.

Hestia - Yep I suppose it would be the internet, newspapers wouldn't run ads like these nowadays.

Sara - Thanks. Your holiday sounds wonderful. Hope you have some more pictures for us :)

Hermione - Wow, thank you so much for letting me know. Glad you liked them.

Thanks all, have a good weekend.

Love,
Ronnie

Those are great ads, perhaps those cards are laying around the streets of Vegas. *smiles*

These are actually called "tart cards" and they were the bane of London bobbies who would have to remove them all. I think that they're pretty much extinct at this point, but I some may still be around. If I ever travel to the UK, I'll have to take a look.

As a spanking collector, though, I do have several tart cards in my collection (found on eBay) with spanking references to them similar to those shown here.

Thomas_III - Welcome. I don't think there are many around now, if any. To think I could have picked up hundreds of these and kept them.

Appreciate you stopping by.
