A reminder of Ireland

I posted last week about P having to go to Waterford in Ireland. Well he did and no he didn't get to spank a stewardess.

P got back late Thursday night and on Friday was quite busy after being out of office a couple of days, then had his second and hopefully last appointment with his physio in the afternoon so we only got chance to talk about his trip over dinner. He said he wasn't sure what would come of the client meeting but hoped something would, it was a bloody long drive, his words not mine, longer than he'd thought from Dublin to Waterford and he forgot to take his satnav, the rental car didn't have one and the place was difficult to find. Anyway we'll see. He did enjoy a couple of pints of Guinness in the evening, he says it always tastes better in Ireland, and the hotel was nice.

After dinner I cleared away while P went upstairs to shower, when he came down I asked jokingly whether he had brought anything back for me as a reminder of lovely Ireland. "Of course,'' he said, ''I've just unpacked my overnighter and left it on the bed". "Ooh P really, I wasn't expecting anything, I didn't think you'd have much time, thanks" and off up stairs I went.

A few minutes later I came back down. "Are you sure you left it on the bed, couldn't see anything except your shirt and pants and this garden cane". P was grinning from ear to ear, "That's the reminder,'' he said," "a garden cane reminder.''

''I don't understand," I lied, even though the penny was dropping. ''Well come upstairs and I'll remind you.'' So he took my hand and led me upstairs to our bedroom, threw his laundry on the floor and told me to lie face down on the bed and proceeded to cane me with it, not hard I might add.

''Now do you remember?'' he asked. ''No, I think I need a little more reminding.'' So off came my jeans and he caned me with it some more, ''Now do you remember?'' I did remember, P used a cane from a potted plant to spank me last time we were in Ireland, but I wasn't going to let him know too soon. ''No, you'll have to jog my memory a bit harder.'' So next my pants came down and he got on the bed next to me so he could hold me in place while he increased his reminders. Eventually, with a smile on my face, I admitted remembering. ''Well you'll also remember what happened after I'd caned you then,'' he said as he removed his trousers. Welcome home P!

He told me later he hadn't stolen the cane from one of the hotel plants, he'd bought it from a hardware store in Waterford, in fact he'd had to buy a bundle but he dumped the rest in a rubbish bin. He told me I should keep it in my underwear drawer, it was just the right length and weight for bedtime use.

As souvenir gifts go I have to say P's ideas are not exactly the norm but think I rather preferred it to a leprechaun.

I'm so glad that P thought of you! A gift that keeps on giving, what more could you ask for? If Nick would remember to bring a few gifts like this home once in a while he cold forget flowers and candy all together.

Hugs,
PK

Hey PK, Yes he's very thoughtful but I wouldn't mind flowers and candy sometimes :)

You are so lucky! That's a lovely gift from P, and I'm sure he enjoyed his warm welcome home from you.

I think we have some of those canes in the garden shed. When the ice melts and I can get the doors open...

Hugs,
Hermione

And how sweet is that ...he thought of you and BOUGHT the plant cane...a prince among men! And yeah, flowers AND a cane would be nice! :)

Hermione - Thank you.
Definitely get one out of the shed and leave it lying around for Ron. Or wrap it up and tell him you've bought a new implement :)

Sara - Now your talking flowers and a CANE much better than flowers and chocolates. Thanks.

Hermione, Sara, thanks for stopping by.

Love.

Ronnie: I tried to file a comment a day ago and it went haywire so I'll try again.

Anyway, I said that when I went to Waterford, all I did was see the glass being blown at the factory. P put his time to much better use.

But why did he throw away the rest of them? Would he like to have a few more after he wears it out on you? LOL.

FD - Sorry for not not commenting sooner but for some reason I couldn't even get onto my blog to comment :)

I asked why he threw the rest away and he said he didn't have space in his case but also if stopped at customs he probably could explain why he had one cane in his bag but a whole bunch, could have been difficult.

Thanks FD.
